Three calls dominate our Wellington schedule, and each one starts the same way: confirm the pest before choosing a treatment.
First, rodents. Fall temperatures send mice and rats toward buildings across Sumner County, and once they’re inside a wood-frame house or a brick commercial building downtown, they stay.
We inspect entry points around ¼ inch wide, seal them with mesh and sealant as part of rodent exclusion, and place tamper-resistant bait stations per EPA label directions. Check yourself: look for gaps where pipes enter your basement foundation a pencil fits through a mouse-sized opening.
Second, ants. Hot, dry spells stress lawns and shift ant activity toward kitchens and bathrooms, which is why ant extermination calls spike in late summer. We use bait stations so workers carry the product back to the colony.
Third, seasonal pests. Spring storms can disturb nests and expose pests, and winter freezes only pause outdoor insects temporarily they don’t eliminate them.
Rapid temperature swings also affect treatment timing, so we schedule exterior applications when wind and temperature cooperate. Serving 67103 and 67152, we plan follow-ups around each pest’s lifecycle. Call (855) 681-0299 to book an inspection.
